Special Licensing

·         Does our Educational or Community Spirit Discount Apply?            (Students & Registered Charities)

o        For individual student projects in recognized post secondary programs needing quality data to support their research or student projects, we will provide our data for free.  To be considered for free data, please complete the Student Request for Data.

o        For bona-fide charities that can issue a tax recipient, we will consider donating our data.

·         Is this covered under a No Charge Data Exchange?            (for Local, Regional or First Nations Governments)

·         Are you a BC Government Ministry or Agency?      (if so call Bob Janowicz or Hans Utzig)

·         Is this for Public Safety?      (if so call Bob Janowicz or Hans Utzig)

Commercial License pricing is based upon a set of questions.

·         (A) What part of BC?

·         (B) Which Attribute Package?

·         (C) How many users? or (D) Internet license?

Commercial License Pricing is based upon three questions. From the Single User Pricing Table pick your area (A), and then pick your package (B), and then multiply that by the multiplier from the (C) Multi User Multipliers Table for the number of user licenses you need OR the Internet Map Server Multiplier.

·         Users refers to all users of the data direct and data derivatives. This means all users, full time, casual or temporary. This also means any usage of the data, such as within a GIS, sample images such as mini-plots at a "front counter", and derivatives such as accessing the list of valid road names. This licensing is NOT concurrent users, where you count the users accessing the data at one time.

 (D) Internet Multipliers

GIS Innovations internet policy is the minimum annual fee for any data hosted on an Internet server is 2 times the Single User Fee. This covers the internet map server only; desktop/internal users still need multi-user licensing.

Some Pricing Examples:

·         for the GVRD area, for the Addressing Package, for 6 users the initial fee is $6,000.

·         for the 604 area, for the Navigation Package, for 1 user the initial fee is $9,000.

·         for all of BC, for the Geocoding Package, for 2 users the initial fee is $7,500.

·         for all of BC, for the Geocoding Package, for an internet server the annual fee is $12,000.
